BANGOR, Maine — The Presque Isle girls tallied 23 points and the boys 18 in the Penobscot Valley Conference swimming championships held over the weekend at Husson University.
The Wildcat girls were 12th in the 200 medley relay in 2:33.59. The PI swimmers in the event were Libbee Currie, Olivia Goulet, Madelyn Wing and Elizabeth Deschenes. Presque Isle took 10th in 200 freestyle relay, with the same participants making up that foursome.
Wing was eighth in the 200 freestyle in 2:17.13 and also placed fifth in the 500 freestyle in 6:08.11.
For the boys, Matt Burtt placed fifth in the 50 freestyle in 24.26 seconds and Leigh Buck was 10th in 25.17 seconds.
Burtt was also eighth in the 100 free in 55.1 seconds.
