    Caribou – Eldine Brissette, 95, wife of the late Arsene Brissette, passed away February 1, 2015, with her family by her side at Englewood, Fla. She was born in St. Agatha, August 26, 1919, the daughter of the late Jimmy and Sophie (Saucier) Lavigne.
    She was one of thirteen children. Eldine and her husband Arsene owned and operated a potato farm on the Beaulieu Road in Caribou for many years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Eldine moved to Falmouth, Mass., in 2008, to live with her nephew, Ralph Hoar, his wife, Diana, and three dogs which she enjoyed immensely. She and the family wintered in Englewood, Fla., prior to moving there in 2014. Everyone who knew Eldine always said “She was the nicest person they had ever met.”
    She was “Auntie” to everyone and will be sadly missed by many. Auntie is survived by her son, Dell Brissette and his wife, Darlene, of New Sweden, nephews and niece, Ralph Hoar and wife, Diana, of Englewood, Fla., James Hughes and wife, Joan, of Glens Falls, N.Y. and Sadie Therrien of Kennebunk, and many other nieces and nephews.
