The skaters were judged professionally by U.S. Figure Skating-approved judges, who reviewed their levels of elements in order for each skater to pass the level they have been working on.
The skaters’ accomplishments were: Jessica Aube of Washburn, passing her Intermediate Moves in the Field; Lee Ireland of Presque Isle, passing her Pre-Bronze Dance and Hickory Hoedown; Allison Madore of Presque Isle, passing her Pre-Preliminary Freestyle, Preliminary Moves in the Field and Preliminary Dance; Maren Moir of Woodland, passing her Pre-Preliminary Moves in the Field, Pre-Preliminary Freestyle and Dutch Waltz; Kayleigh Perry of Presque Isle, passing her Pre-Preliminary Moves in the Field, Pre-Preliminary Freestyle and Dutch Waltz; and Katelyn White of Easton, passing her Pre-Juvenile Freestyle.
The skaters are coached by Sarah Caron, Katie Griffin and Haley Kelley.
The Northern Maine Figure Skating Club is now preparing for their annual Musical on Ice that will be held on March 14, with shows at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The theme of “The Little Mermaid” will come to life in this performance at The Forum, and the public is invited to attend to watch Ariel, Flounder and Sebastian and the remainder of “The Little Mermaid” characters skate to many familiar song favorites.
Tickets may be purchased from any NMFSC club member, at The Forum or at the door on the day of the event. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children.
