Drost, Roger L., 61, January 28, 2015.  A memorial party will be held February 28 at the VFW Post, Presque Isle at 1 p.m.


 

    HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA & PRESQUE ISLE, ME – Roger Lee Drost, 61, of Huntington Beach, CA, died unexpectedly on January 28, 2015. He was born on Feb. 18, 1953, in Presque Isle, ME, son of Perry and Ella (Michaud) Drost Sr.
    Roger attended schools in Presque Isle and Caribou. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines. He owned and operated “R” Mobile Mechanic business until his death.
    Roger is survived by his wife, Cheri “Lynne” (Cannon) Drost of Huntington Beach, CA; sons, Scott and wife of Florida and Garrett Drost of Huntington Beach, CA; daughters, Amy Drost and Amanda Drost, both of Huntington Beach, CA; two grandchildren; brothers, Perry (Sonny) Drost Jr. and wife, Agnes, of Presque Isle, Adrian (Andy) Drost and wife, Lorraine, of Castle Hill, Lester Drost and wife, Linda, of Auburn, WA, and Timothy Drost and wife, Monica, of Dorfen, Germany; sisters, Rosa MacIntosh and husband, Alan, of Westfield, and Donella Drost of Caribou. He also leaves several aunts and uncle, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
    He was predeceased by his parents; and nephew, Michael Drost.
    Roger was a jokester, someone who was always a joy to be around. You knew “The Party Had Arrived” when Roger walked into a room.
    Because of Roger’s love for a good party, there will be two memorial “parties” on Feb. 28 to honor Roger, one in Huntington Beach, CA, and the other in Presque Isle.
    The one in Presque Isle will be held at the VFW Post, 6 State Rd,, Presque Isle, on Feb. 28 at 1 p.m., for all relatives and close friends. Come tell your stories and memories of Roger. A basket will be available for money donations and cards to be sent to his wife and children.
