The swim season concluded last week, with the boys’ state meet held Feb. 14 and the girls’ state meet Feb. 16 at the University of Maine at Orono.
Madelyn Wing of Presque Isle placed eighth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:56.48 for the top placement among local swimmers. She was also 15th in the 200 freestyle in 2:14.92.
Alexis Coiley of Fort Fairfield came in 13th in the 200 in 2:14.33 while also taking 15th in the 500 free in 6:06.98.
In the boys’ meet, Matt Burtt of the Wildcats came in 14th in the 100 free in 55.07 seconds.
