Nothing more aptly displays for us the degree to which governments and their mainstream media lapdogs will lie and obfuscate the truth in the pursuit of greater power over the people than the ongoing “global warming” (oops … I mean “climate change”) hoax.
Aroostook County folks are more astute than flatlanders who more readily suck at the teats of governments at all levels, apparently. In my conversations with folks it is clear that more of us understand, innately, that God’s world operates primarily by God’s laws. We also understand the principle of homeostasis, and are not so quick as liberal/centralist/government-funded academicians to assign these purported massive powers to humanity to affect God’s creation.
I can’t help laughing at all the “global warming” stories that the mainstream media seems to be coming at us with right now. Seems all the news programs are trying desperately to mitigate the damage to their favorite hoax from facts like that this is the coldest February on record across most of the United States.
One particular story that appeared on the Channel 2 morning news out of Portland on Saturday, Feb. 28th was particularly egregious. The announcer made a big deal of a new study purporting to show a 5-inch seawater rise in Casco Bay as though flooding of the city of Portland was imminent unless we come up with new carbon taxes, new onerous land use regulations, and new overpaid positions for government bureaucrats.
The actual study, by researchers at (of all places) the University of Arizona is available online under the title: “Ocean scientists report ‘unprecedented’ spike…” if you’ll Google that much you’ll see it. The study makes it clear (unlike Channel 2) that this was a brief spike that later subsided, and that there are many reasons why it should not be taken as a major concern. You would never know that from listening to that talking head’s propaganda piece.
Clearly, the agenda is showing some chinks in its armor. Agenda 21 though, is still making headway in confusing people, and even getting local selectmen in some towns to call for giving more of Maine over to bureauRATS in D.C.
