FULLER, Bonnie G. (Hammond), 72, EASTON, February 25, 2015. Arrangements are under the care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.
EASTON – Bonnie G. (Hammond) Fuller, 72, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 25, 2015. She will be remembered as our beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grammy and Friend.
She was born February 20, 1943, in Mars Hill, to the late Harold and Eleanor (Bell) Hammond. She married Karl Fuller on June 24, 1961, in Easton, where they raised their five children.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Karl; five children, Mary and Chris Burch of Memphis, IN, Mark and Michele (Guell) Fuller of Spring Hill, FL, Dana and Kimberley (Karchenes) Fuller of Cape Neddick, Sarah and Dale Brenaman of Lexington, KY, and Penny and David Lamoreau of Easton; a sister, Sherry (Hammond) and Brian Prosser of Brunswick; sister-in-law, Brenda King of CT; two aunts, Avis (Hammond) Drost of Houlton, and Chavela Kinney of Clayton, NM; nine grandchildren: Stephanie, Chad, Nicole, Dana, Erica, Ashley, Jason, Zachary and Olivia; 16 great-grandchildren (with one on the way); many nieces, nephews and special friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bernard H. Hammond of Waterbury, CT.
Next to her husband, Karl, the absolute love of her life, were her grandchildren. Bonnie cherished being surrounded by her family, sharing stories, watching the antics as well as the fun. It brought her tremendous joy when she was with them, happy and laughing. She loved her family deeply and desired nothing more than to be loved as she was…AND SHE WAS!
Her home was always open, welcoming everyone, and she was affectionately known to many as “Mum”. Bonnie always put the needs of others above her own, giving all she had just to make someone smile or know she cared.
She will fondly be remembered as the great hostess, always planning dinners and parties, especially birthdays, or any other occasion to get the family together. Many times needing to rent the town hall just to accommodate the number of people. Oh, the stories!
As many may tell you, Bonnie personified her motto, “It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.” She possessed the extraordinary ability to focus on the best in everyone. Her gentle smile, welcoming arms, and amazing heart will be greatly missed.
You were loved, Bonnie, by so many. Your life had great meaning. You made such a difference in the lives of those who knew you, and will live on in our hearts forever. “Okey Dokey Bye” till we see you again!
Funeral Services were held Monday, March 2, 2015, at 3 p.m., at the Easton Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Merritt Durost officiating. Friends called from 2-3 p.m. Arrangements in care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield, ME.
