Three injured in accident
MAPLETON, Maine — Three people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle accident on the Parsons Road Wednesday.
“On Feb. 25, 2015, at 4:45 p.m., Trooper Nick Casavant responded to a motor vehicle crash, with injuries, on the Parsons Road in Mapleton. His investigation revealed that Arianna Forbes, 18, of Castle Hill, was traveling north in a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle when she lost control on a curve,” said Sgt. Josh Harris, of the Maine State Police.
According to Harris, Forbes traveled into the northbound lane and was struck by a 2009 Toyota Camry operated by Leland Caron, 44, of Washburn.
“Both vehicles sustained significant damage and had to be towed from the scene. Both operators, as well as Caron’s young passenger, sustained minor injuries but were not transported to the hospital,” said Harris.
Assisting Casavant at the scene were the Washburn Police Department, Washburn Fire Department and Crown Ambulance.
