The second annual WHOU All-County Basketball Team was recently announced. The Houlton-based radio station had the chance to stream more than 80 games online this season and see some talented players in action.
Players were selected to the WHOU teams based on the votes of more than 60 officials, athletic directors, coaches, media members and basketball enthusiasts.
Making the WHOU girls’ team are: Hannah Graham, Krystal Kingsbury and Emily Lagerstrom, all of Presque Isle; Mackenzie Worcester and Joan Overman, both of Washburn; Felisha Bouchard of Van Buren; Kolleen Bouchard and Katie Condon, both of Houlton; Chelsey Pelkey of Fort Fairfield; and Kalie Ward of Easton
Graham, Kingsbury, Worcester, Bouchard, Pelkey and Condon were also on the inaugural All-County team selected in 2014.
Honorable mention went to Allie McEwen and Sarah Stoddard, both of East Grand; Courtney Parent of Van Buren, Natalie Hill of Houlton and Tyra Michaud of Wisdom.
The boys’ team includes Kyle Bouchard and Jake Drew, both of Houlton; Cameron Bragg and Jarrett Olson, both of Washburn; Jackson Mathers and Nolan Altvater, both of Southern Aroostook; Dayne and Donovan Savage, both of Caribou; Robbie Watson of Fort Fairfield; and Andre Rossignol of Van Buren.
Bouchard, Bragg, Mathers and Dayne Savage were also members of last year’s elite team.
Honorable mention went to Logan Halvorson of Easton, Cody Blair of Ashland, Cameron Landry of Southern Aroostook, Hunter Beaulieu of Fort Fairfield and Noah Caron of Washburn.
