Rosemary is a young spayed female living at the Halfway Home Pet Rescue Adoption Center at 489 Main Street in Caribou. She came into the rescue as 4 month feral kitten rescued from a feral colony and, according to volunteers, had absolutely no trust in people. That has changed with time and loving support, and volunteers are now pleased to see Rosemary waiting for a new forever home. “Because of her background, Rosemary will also be a super mouser as well as a loving family companion,” said President of the Halfway Home Pet Rescue Norma Milton. “Her favorite time is dinner and the sound of a can of wet cat food being opened is her dinner bell.” Rosemary is now six months old and ready for adoption. The Second Chance Gift Shop on 31 Herschel Street, which supports the Halfway Home Pet Rescue, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday through Monday each week and features three types of bag sales this month. A grocery shopping bag is $2; a 13-gallon plastic bag are $4 and a 30-gallon bag is only $6. “This sale features only clothing and no household items,” Milton added.
