CARIBOU – Betty Anne Shorey, 71, daughter of the late Gordon Shorey and Gertrude (Cray) Shorey, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2015, at Eagle Lake, after an extended illness. She was born March 25, 1943 in Caribou.
Betty was a loving and caring daughter and sister. In the past, she attended Caribou Assembly of God Church and worked many years at American Kitchen Foods and Potato Service Processing Plants. One of her favorite hobbies was spending hours doing word find.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by two brothers, Wayne Shorey and Dale Shorey. She is survived by a sister, Joyce Petriw and her husband, Michael, of Vero Beach, FL; a brother, Calvin Shorey and his wife, Cheryldene (Deanie), of Woodland. Calvin and his wife send special thanks to the staff at Franciscan Home and Mercy Home, Eagle Lake, for the fine care and comfort given to Betty.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland and will be announced at a later date by Mockler Funeral Home.
