Our honorable Veterans
By Nagoozet Morey

There’s been more than a thousand men who went out of their way to defend our country. Many of whom lost their lives, for the good of our country. This is why we should always go out of our way to simply just show the appreciation these veterans deserve for doing our great country a very huge deed. We’d be nothing without these men and women to fight for our country.
The men and women that fought for our country, some didn’t have a choice. Their numbers were called and they went to fight. Many now, choose to go across seas. Not all went across, there are many things they can do to help the country. Like helping out the troops from across by bringing them supplies when needed. Our country wouldn’t be the same without these people fighting for our country. Whether they are Navy or Marines, they all did a great job defending the country they were from.
A veteran is a person, man or female, that has had long experience in a particular field. Not like a baseball veteran where they specialized in the baseball field, but the one I’m talking about is the military field where they put their lives on the line just for the people back home. They have made more sacrifices than anyone else. They deserve endless thanks for doing what we call being a hero to this country.
World War I (1917-1918), World War II (1939-1945), Korean and Vietnam wars (1950-1953 & 1953-1975), which were both part of the Cold War, and the war on Afghanistan (2001-present day) and many more that our proud veterans have fought in and many lost their lives. But they fought that’s all that matters, even though many of them went in knowing that some wouldn’t make it back. They still went in knowing they were doing America a great deed.
I’m not saying you absolutely should honor our amazing Veterans, but some don’t. They have put their lives down on the line for our country and the people in it. My opinion is that they deserved everyone’s thanks. Our country would be nothing without these men and women. If they hadn’t fought for us, this country wouldn’t be as strong as we are now.
