The Purple Hat Society met on Tuesday, March 10, at Brookside Restaurant in Smyrna Mills for its March meeting.
Leader Charlotte Marley greeted the ladies and as soon as they were seated, each one gave her Purple Hat name. Wannetta Townsend gave the blessing before the meal. Cindy Gray had charge of the birthday list and they all sang “Happy Birthday” to Mildred Gagnon, the only March celebrant.
Drawings for monthly drawings went to Donna Furrow, Cindy Gray, Bernice Campbell and Wannetta Townsend. Cindy Gray and Mildred Gagnon pleased the ladies with readings. The ladies will meet again April 14 at the Taste of China restaurant in Houlton.
