A local nonprofit group focused on the needs of area youth will mark its 20th anniversary with a special celebration Monday, March 30, at the Caribou office of the Department of Health and Human Services.
Robin Levesque, regional support coordinator for the Maine Parent Federation and a member of Youth Vision Network, said the event will be held from 12-3 p.m. and is open to the public. “We invite the community to join us to gain a better understanding of what we do, and hopefully gain new members,” Levesque said.
Youth Vision Network is a County-wide community collaborative. Its members address the needs of community youth, many with behavioral health needs, and work together with other groups and agencies to provide advocacy, information and solutions.
“We also address the concerns of high school dropout rates as well as substance abuse and other concerns affecting today’s youth,” added Levesque.
