Kindergarten students at Mill Pond School have been studying informational writing and sharing their expertise through writing how-to books.
Students chose topics where they were experts, and strived to plan the steps necessary to teach someone else how to do something such as play a sport or hobby, make something, perform a routine, or try something new.
To revise, students acted out the steps to see if the directions were detailed enough to be carried out by the reader.
