Prior to Valentine’s Day, the bank sold 1,250 stuffed animals for $10 each raising $12,550 for the local Red Cross chapter. The additional $50 was generated through customer donations. The money will help the agency provide emergency shelter, food, clothing, infant supplies, medical equipment, and recovery resources to those who experience a fire, flood or other disaster. A check presentation was held March 25 at Katahdin Trust Co.’s Presque Isle branch.
