I’m writing about Percherons because they are a breed of horse. Percherons are special to me because my aunt owns one.
A Percheron is a breed of draft horse that was found in the Huisne River area in western France. They are famous for their strong muscles and their bigness.
Percherons are still being used today. They are mainly used for hauling things, pulling carriages, and working. They also have a really good temperament, and they are really calm. They also do dressage.

Percheron horses’ height ranges are 15.1 to 18.1 hands (61 to 73 inches) and weigh from 1,100 to 2,600 pounds. You might be wondering what hands are. Hands are four inches. They are used to measure horses.
Between 1789 and the early 1800’s, the Percherons were in danger of becoming extinct because of the French Revolution. In the early 20th century, the Percheron was one of the four draft horse breeds. The other three are the Belgian, the Clydesdale, and the Shire.
I found my information on Wikipedia. I hope you liked it!
