     LOVELY, Ernest R., Sr., 72, CHAPMAN, March 25, 2015. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    CHAPMAN – Ernest R. Lovely Sr., 72, passed away Wednesday morning, March 25, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Presque Isle on August 10, 1942, the son of Ransford and Rose (LaChance) Lovely.
    Ernie worked as a firefighter for the Presque Isle Fire Dept. and then worked for McCain Foods. He was a long time and devoted member of the Presque Isle Elks Lodge.
    He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia (Patchell) Lovely of Chapman; two sons, Ernest Lovely, Jr. of Presque Isle, and Matthew Lovely of Chapman; two stepsons, Dean Knight and his wife, Julie, of Mapleton, and Daren Knight and his wife, Jennifer, of Skiatook, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Denise Knight of Standish; two brothers, Ronald Lovely and Ranney Lovely; two sisters, Sandra Pelz and Doreen Washington. Ernest was also a devoted grandfather to 11 grandchildren, Jaren, Jarred, Jeanna, Kaitlin and Shawn Knight, Heather Castonguay, Casey, Lucy, Devlyn and Dylan Lovely, Mackayla LaPlante; three great-grandchildren, Autumn, Tannor and MacKayla.
    A memorial service was held Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the Presque Isle Elks Lodge, No. 1954. Donations in Ernie’s memory can be made to Maine Children’s Cancer Program in care of Presque Isle Elks Lodge, 508 Main St., Presque Isle, ME.
