Reflects poorly on Presque Isle
To the editor:
I was out of town when Senator Michael Willette’s hateful Facebook posts came to the attention of the public.
When I introduced myself to a couple and stated where I lived, I was ashamed that they immediately connected Presque Isle with an elected state senator who promotes bigotry and publishes untruths. Hate speech is not only inappropriate for a member of the legislature — it is wrong for any citizen of the United States.
Michael Willette must resign so that I and other residents in his district can once again be proud of living in Presque Isle.
