Don’t get fooled this April, scammers are ready to “separate” you from your hard-earned money! Be cautious of emails from financial or tax institutions saying you need to update or verify account information. Refrain from giving any personal information or opening attachments. This is likely a scam as your bank would never ask you to verify sensitive information by email.
Don’t let scammers get the last laugh. Be a fraud fighter! If you can spot a scam, you can stop a scam.
Contact local law enforcement or the AARP Fraud Watch Network www. aarp.org/fraudwatchnetwork or 1-877-908-3360 to report a scam or for more information on scam and fraud prevention.
