    BELFORTI, Michelina, 89, PRESQUE ISLE, April 1, 2015. The family will have private remembrance ceremonies. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellesley, MA. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Michelina Belforti, 89, passed away peacefully into the loving hands of her heavenly father on April 1, 2015. She was born in Portland, ME, on December 8, 1925, the daughter of John and Mary (McDonald) Amato.
    She was a graduate of Wellesley Massachusetts Senior High School, class of 1945; She attended Boston Massachusetts Conservatory of Music 1945-1947 majoring in voice and dance. She worked as an operator at the telephone company, as a matron and meter maid for the Wellesley Police Dept., taught nutrition and exercise at Gloria Stevens Figure Salon, and worked as a salesperson at Triangle Shoppe.
    Mickey was a devoted mother and grandmother. She spent many years of quality time with her grandchildren. She admired horses from the time of her youth, and loved to be in the country enjoying nature.
    Mickey loved to sing! She always had a song in her heart! Even to the end she was sharing her love of song with her caregivers.
    For many years, Mickey shared her love of exercise with others by teaching classes with great enthusiasm. She stayed physically fit all her life and passed her knowledge and love for good health onto her children and grandchildren.
    Mickey had the best positive attitude and never thought twice to be there to cheer us on. She was a champion for life. We will miss her so much!
    She attended the Crouseville Advent Christian Church.
    She is survived by three daughters: Roberta Belforti of  Washburn, ME, Rose Marie Belforti and husband, Tim Wallbridge, of King Ferry, NY, and Jackie Chamberlain and husband, Al Chamberlain, of Milford, MA; two sons: Robert J. Belforti, Jr., of Presque Isle, and James Bravewolf of Lawrenceville, NJ; five grandchildren: Michelle Dillingham of Cincinnati, OH, Annalee Dunn of Bellingham, WA, Tara Themis Brown of Queens, NY, Iemanja Gardiner Brown of Queens, NY, and Yanna Bravewolf of Washington, DC; four great-grandchildren: Michael Dillingham of Cincinnati, OH, Enzo Liam Dunn-Hubner and Oona Lucia Dunn-Hubner of Bellingham, WA, and Maia Xanate Brown of Queens, NY.
    The family also would like to thank the Presque Isle nursing home for their care and compassion, and especially would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to Pastor John Walsh, Sherry and Bob Thibodeau of Presque Isle.
