Parent support group to meet
Gaining Empowerment Allows Results or “G.E.A.R. Parent Support Groups” will be held at the Cary Library in Houlton.
This is a parent support group for parents raising kids with behavioral, emotional and developmental needs. All parents, guardians, foster parents or adoptive parents are welcome.

The group will be facilitated by Cynthia Levasseur, regional parent support coordinator, G.E.A.R. Parent Network for Penobscot, Piscataquis and southern Aroostook counties for a conversation with other parents who share similar life experiences.
The group will meet once a month at Cary Library from 9:30-11 a.m., starting Friday, April 10, with an open house. Meetings will be held the second Friday of each month except for July.

Beginner card-making, paper-crafting class
A beginner card-making/paper-crafting class will be held at Cary Library on Thursday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with instructor Debbie Henderson.
Those interested in learning to make cards, use rubber stamps and do paper crafts are invited. Participants will learn how to stamp, punch and die-cut creating two cards per session for a $5 fee. Class size is limited to eight and at least four need to be signed up for the class to be held.
