Soap Box Derby Race deadline is May 1

The Northern Maine Soapbox Derby Committee will hold a planning meeting Wednesday, April 19 at the 6 p.m. at the Houlton Rec Center.
The annual race will be held on Saturday, June 20 at Derby Hill in Houlton Community Park. Participants can be 8- to 18-year-olds.
To register, stop by the Houlton Recreation Department to pick up a form or email rec.programs@houlton-maine.com. The race cost is $30, but the experience of racing down Derby Hill is priceless. Registration deadline is May 1.
