Topolosky, Nancy A. (McGarrigle), 81, April 6, 2015. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home.
Nancy Anne (McGarrigle) Topolosky, 81, passed away on April 6, 2015, at the Madigan Estates nursing facilities with her family at her side after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Nancy was born on February 22, 1934, in Milltown, NB, Canada.
Nancy’s passion in life was her Roman Catholic faith. She passed her love of Christ onto her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. During her life she was fully involved in the pro-life movement. She supported and participated in innumerable rallies, 40 Days for Life, and prayer vigils, both in the U.S. and Canada. Her cousin, the late Rev. Michael McGarrigle, was well known in the Houlton area.
For 27 years Nancy ran the family business – the Elmwood Motor Lodge in Boscawen, NH. Her family will always treasure her beautiful and lovingly knit sweaters, afghans, and Christmas stockings. She learned to knit during WW II as a little girl – knitting stockings for the Canadian soldiers. Her family she leaves behind will have fond memories of her superb home cooking and the special dishes she always prepared for each of her children and grandchildren. All appreciate Mom/Grammie passing on to her family her homemaking skills and the exemplary example of wife and mother that she always demonstrated to her children.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 61 years, John (Jack) Topolosky of Hodgdon, ME. Nancy was always and forever will be a “Bride” to her loving and devoted husband. She is also survived by her six children and their families: Peter and Leanne Topolosky of Bow, NH, their daughter, Amy and Justin Campbell and their children, Jackson and Nicolas; Susan (Topolosky) and Brian Mason of Concord, NH, their children, Rev.
