Caribou Choral Society concerts
The Caribou Choral Society will present its annual spring concert series, titled “What a Wonderful World,” with three performances scheduled in Presque Isle and Caribou.
Concerts are planned Friday, May 8, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle, and the following evening, Saturday, May 9, at 7 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Caribou. A third show will be held Saturday, May 23, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Caribou.
This group is comprised of local singers, led by conductor Dan Ladner. The public is cordially invited to attend.
Voices concert Sunday
The Aroostook River Voices will present their spring concert Sunday, April 26, at 2 p.m. at the Ashland District School Auditorium.
The theme is “Life in a Northern Town, Where th Water Flows and the Music Grows.”
Aroostook River Voices is a 90-voice community chorus which features lots of unusual settings for its performances. There will be many soloists, multiple conductors and lots of instrumental accompaniments.
This concert will feature the recent acquisition of six acoustic shells which will enhance each selection. The concert is free but donations will be accepted to support the school music programs.
