CARIBOU — The County Federal Credit Union has announced the hiring of Michael Bosse as its assistant vice president of marketing.
Bosse was most recently Fort Fairfield’s town manager, and announced his resignation to the Fort Fairfield Town Council in a letter dated Feb. 18. In his new position at CFCU, he will oversee the research, development and management of traditional and online marketing strategies and programs with an emphasis in new business development. He will also be performing a variety of creative and support duties relating to the marketing function within the organization along with fulfilling the credit union’s mission to improve the financial well being of its members.
“Mike’s experience and wealth of knowledge in marketing has made him a key addition to the credit union family,” stated Ryan Ellsworth, CFCU’s president and CEO. “We view his appointment as a sign of our genuine commitment to our members and to the region. The credit union has now grown to a level where we feel the need for someone with a keen eye on how we can best position ourselves for future growth and opportunities, Mike will play that important role.”
Bosse had served as Fort Fairfield’s town manager since December 2013, replacing Dan Foster. He began with the town in 2010 as the marketing and economic director. Prior to that, he owned and operated one of northern Maine’s full-service advertising agencies, Marketing Advertising Planning, Inc. (MAP) for 20 years. MAP’s client list was extensive, including most of the major employers in the area with several in the financial services industry.
“I’m thrilled to be joining The County Federal Credit Union team,” Bosse said. “Working in business and marketing has always been where my heart is. The credit union has assembled a dynamic team of professionals and I am honored they have invited me to join them.”
Bosse went on to say, “I’m excited to start this new challenge and help move The County Federal Credit Union’s brand forward.”
The assistant vice president of marketing’s specific duties are extensive and include the development of promotional campaigns and the delivery of a consistent branding message.
