On April 15, the Oakfield Senior Citizens met at the Snowmobile Club with 21 members and one guest present.
The meeting was opened by Robert Locke with a blessing for the lunch which was great, as always. This was followed by the Lord’s Prayer and Flag Salute.
The Senior Citizens received a thank-you note from the bank for the large amount of peanut butter and jelly donated for the food pantry. Cards were signed and mailed to several people who are having health problems. The “Birthday Song” was sung for several celebrating birthdays. Our guest, Kilder Francis, won our 50/50 drawing.
Those attending were Sharon Anderson, Tessie Barrett, George Barrows, Geneva Bell, Verna Boone, Bernice Campbell, Jeannie Clements, Bill Dill, Lottie and Earl Doughty, Nacie Fowler, Arlene Friel, Mildred Gagnon, Marie Gillotti, Sandra Holmes, Ursula Levesque, Robert Locke, Iona Nadeau, Sherry Shaw, Wanetta Townsend and Juanita Wiggins.
