The Friday morning TOPS group met on April 17 at the Aldergate Building on Kelleran Street. Leader Betty Wyman opened the meeting promptly at 9 a.m. with nine TOPS in attendance. After the pledge and roll call, the weight recorder’s and secretary’s reports were given. The skinny dish and 50/50 were won by Betty Wyman. Marsha Reed was “loser of the week,” with C.J. as the runner up.
JoAnn Scott returned after spending the winter in Vermont. While there, she attended a TOPS meeting and showed a book titled, “My Real Progress” (a journal for a healthy lifestyle) which was presented to her. Marsha Reed explained the new contest, Hooked on TOPS, which started April 17. A program on blood pressure and cholesterol was given by our leader, Bessie.
Sarah Smith will be here Friday, April 24. We all enjoy her talks on healthy eating and nutrition.
On May 1, after our weigh in, we will all meet at Houlton Regional Hospital where Julie Cordray will give a talk on diabetes.
