HOULTON – Vance D. McMannus, 80, died Apr. 26 2015, in Houlton. He was born Oct. 22, 1934, in Smyrna the son of Robert and Phyllis (Cole) McMannus.
Vance enjoyed picking strawberries, dancing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Luanna (York) McMannus of Houlton. Three children Waldo McMannus and Tina Corey of Linneus, Rodney and Rosemarie McMannus of Winn, and Cliasta and Jon Bither of Houlton. Seven grandchildren: Lucas McMannus, Jay McMannus, Kelly McMannus, Kate Bither, Rebecca Bither, Matthew McMannus and Sarah McMannus. Eleven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and one brother Stewart.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., where funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Kevin Hatch officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery Houlton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gardiner Health Care Facility Activity Fund, 8 Holland St., Houlton, ME 04730.
