My mother Loena Sutherland had a huge barrel cactus. It was picky and highly objectionable to keep. Then it blossomed into a beautiful white trumpet blossom that filled the room with its scent for a day. “Being patient is a virtue” is a quote I remember of Mom’s.
My daughter gave me a card for Mother’s Day when she was in school. It had cats on the outside and also on the inside. I looked down and it had the cat’s name on it. I was a pet parent but the signature was a surprise.
