PRESQUE ISLE — NMCC President Timothy Crowley has announced that Kerri Watson-Blaisdell will be joining the development office team as the associate director of development and college relations.

In this full-time administrator’s position, Watson-Blaisdell will coordinate the college marketing activities, will design catalogs, newsletters and brochures, and will help coordinate college events and media coverage.
Watson-Blaisdell has been employed at TAMC for the past seven years as a communication and development coordinator and is highly experienced in organizing large-scale communication projects and events.
“We are eager to welcome Kerri to NMCC and are looking forward to having her expertise complement and enhance our work in the development office,” said Crowley. “Her understanding and familiarity of higher education, as well as the rich experience she brings from her tenure at TAMC, will be very beneficial.”
Watson-Blaisdell earned a master’s degree in communication from the University of Maine and has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maine at Machias. She was a graduate-level teaching assistant of public communication at UMO and served as an equal opportunity employment officer at Loring Job Corps before assuming her position at TAMC.
“I’m very excited to begin this new opportunity with the professional staff in the college development office,” Watson-Blaisdell said. “Education is a particular passion of mine and NMCC is a vital resource for people who want to develop or enhance workforce skills, or to complete the foundation toward a four-year degree. I look forward to contributing to the success of the college and its students.”
Watson-Blaisdell began her new role March 31.
