WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins recently thanked Caribou native Seán Barbosa for his service as an intern in her Aroostook County Constituent Center this semester.
Barbosa, a 2013 graduate of Caribou High School, is the son of David and Mary Kate Barbosa of Caribou, Maine.
“Seán was a terrific student and a very hard worker in my Caribou office this semester,” said Collins. “I am thankful for all of Seán’s efforts on behalf of the citizens of Maine. I am always delighted to give students an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and it is a special privilege when they are also alumni of my alma mater, Caribou High School.”
This fall, Barbosa will be starting his junior year at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. In the future, he plans on obtaining an associate’s degree as a medical lab technician, a bachelor’s degree in biology and eventually a medical degree.
