To the editor:
Often I am reminded of what it means to be part of a small community, and last week I had another reminder from Ryan and Roz at Aroostook Print Shop.
For part of my job, I work with other teachers in Aroostook Right to Read to organize Young Authors’ Institute held at UMPI each spring. Part of the event includes selecting student representatives from all over The County to have a piece of their writing published in an anthology. For several years, we have had the 265 books printed at Aroostook Print Shop, and this year was no exception.
Even with the best plan, things happen. There were some obstacles, and Ryan and Roz went far beyond the call of duty to ensure that the books would be ready for presentation at Young Authors. This small town service and quality cannot be matched, and on behalf of Aroostook Right to Read, I want to publicly thank them.
Support your local businesses!
