Aroostook County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 2 in New Limerick on May 3. Courtney Husayn, 25, of New Limerick was traveling westbound in her 2009 Toyota when she reached onto the floorboard for her purse. The distraction caused the vehicle to swerve to the right and strike a guardrail.
Husayn was able to get the car stopped. She and her 16-month-old son were not injured and their safety restraints were being used. It is believed the vehicle is a total loss. Houlton Fire and Houlton Ambulance assisted Deputy Sheriff Vance Palmer.
