NEW LIMERICK, Maine — The Houlton Golf Club is now open for business, and carts are in use. An early bird green fees walking special of nine holes for $10 and 18 holes for $18 is available for the first month of play.
During the following week, the Ladies Day opening banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 19 at 5 p.m. with social hour followed by supper and information about this year’s play. A sign-up list is now in the clubhouse for the supper and Ladies Twilight League.
On Thursday, June 4 at 7 p.m., a meeting for all playing in the Men’s Twilight League will he held at the clubhouse, with rules, information and scheduling reviewed for the season. If your team is new to the league for 2015, at least one player from your team is required to be at the meeting. Deadline for the league sign up is June 8.
The 14th annual Memorial Tournament will be played Saturday, May 30. The four-person scramble will be an 18-hole event this year (weather permitting), with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Get your team ready and sign up now. We are looking for a full field for this inaugural 2015 golf event. All proceeds go towards the beautification projects and gardens around the course.
