ISLAND FALLS, Maine — Things are in full “swing” at VaJoWa! All 18 holes are open for use with carts and our driving range is operational. The weekend was very busy and it was great to see old friends and some new faces as well.

The Pairs and Spares golfers met on Sunday for a four-person scramble on May 10. In first place was the team of Ola and Di Tucker, Warren Walker and Ken Delano with a 31. Following with a close second were Stu and Becky Kelley and John and Deb Porter with a 32. Third place was taken by Peter and Carol Blood and Ricky and April Bates with a 34. Pairs and Spares golfers meet each Sunday at 2 p.m. Join us for a fun filled afternoon. Entry fee is $2.50.
Our next tournament will be a Memorial Day Tournament honoring Joe Kelley. This four-person 18-hole scramble will be on Monday, May 25, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. You can bring your own foursome or we will put you on a team. Entry fee is $10 per person.
Don’t forget to sign up for Twilight League which will be starting on Tuesday, June 9. Congratulations to Stu Kelley and Jon Smallwood, last year’s Twilight League champions.
