County potato growers elected to national committee
DENVER — The United States Potato Board (USPB) grower membership elected new leadership during its annual meeting held March 10-12 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Elected members of the Industry Communications & Policy committee were Keith Doyen of Mapleton and Jay LaJoie of Van Buren.
The USPB, established in 1971 by a group of potato growers to promote the benefits of eating potatoes, is the nation’s potato marketing and research organization. The organization represents more than 2,500 potato growers and handlers across the country.
