A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Friday from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment to be held in the New Holy Rosary Cemetery. Gregory A. “Curty” Prest
CARIBOU – Gregory A. “Curty” Prest, 54, died unexpectedly May 13, 2015, at Logan Township, Pennsylvania as the result of an accident. He was born in Fort Fairfield on December 28, 1960, the son of the late Curtis and Helen (Forsythe) Prest. Greg was a graduate of Central Aroostook High School and he married Joan Dubois July 18, 1997.
He was employed by several local trucking companies and most recently by North State Trucking. He was a longtime member of AA and offered hope and help to many over the years.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Joan are two step-daughters and their husbands; Iris and Todd Pelletier and Sharon and Scott Michaud, all of Caribou; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Calvin and Frances Prest of Presque Isle and Dana and Jill Prest of Deland, Fl; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cynthia and Steve Cole of Presque Isle and Donna and Warren Grass of Mars Hill; his favorite grandsons, Matthew Pelletier and Carson Michaud; several nieces and nephews as well as six great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
