NEW LIMERICK – Edwin Rexford “Rex” Fletcher, 63, passed away May 20, 2015, at a local hospital after a courageous fight with lung cancer. He was born October 23, 1951, in Rumford, the son of Glenn and Lillian (LaVallee) Fletcher.
Rex served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, serving two tours. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved watching NASCAR and looking at car and truck magazines.
Rex is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda (Laferriere) Fletcher; his daughter, Nicole Fletcher and her fiancé, Kenneth McCrary, Sr., their children, Kenneth McCrary, Jr. and Dustin Scott; stepdaughter, April Phillips and her fiancé, Ronald Broullard, their children, Aaron Broullard, Thomas Dougherty and Ethan Dougherty; his sister, Peggy Korsu and her husband, Paul Delude; his brothers, Richard Fletcher and his wife, Rozland and Kenneth Fletcher; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his in-laws, Noe and Cecile Laferriere.
Friends may call at the Dunn Funeral Home 3 p.m. Saturday, June 13, until the time of the service 4 p.m. with Rev. David Tuttle officiating.
