What a beautiful holiday weekend. A big congratulations to Bev Osborne for her amazing hole-in –one on number seven during our Memorial Day Tourney. Way to go lady!
The Pairs and Spares golfers met on Sunday for a Mixed Scramble. Winners were Bev Osborn, Debbie Porter, Ted Pettingill and Rick Bates, 35; second, tie, Jenness Gushee, Peter Blood, Betty Smallwood and Ralph Powers, along with Greg Douglas, April Bates and Valerie Powers with a 37.
Pairs and Spares golfers will meet this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. (Please note the time change.) Join them for a fun filled afternoon. Entry fee is $2.50.
Our Memorial Day Tournament honoring Joe Kelley was a great success! The event started off with a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance before the four- person 18- hole scramble. First gross with a 64 was Phil Desmond, Warren Walker, Bill Boulier and Alston Crandall. First net with a 51.8 was Bev Osborne, Jenness Gushee, Jon and Betty Smallwood. Second gross went to Steve Merry, Bill Hollis, Greg Douglas and Pete Lawlor with 68. The second net team came in with 52.3 and was comprised of Greg Gayne, Kim, Scott and Brandon Savage. Thank you to all who participated.
Ladies’ Day Golf and Clinic will be starting on Tuesday, June 2. This free clinic will start at 9 a.m. and be followed by a varied golf scrambles, best ball, et cetera at 10 a.m. Come join in on some valuable tips and great golf with some great gals!
