EASTON, Maine — The principal of Easton Junior Senior High School, Cameron Adams, has announced the honor parts for the graduation ceremonies of the Class of 2015. The graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 12.
Valedictorian
Ashley Hersey is the daughter of Jack Hersey and Deborah Hersey. Ashley has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years. Ashley has been a member of the French Club, served a term as historian, and has been a member of the Key Club for four years. She has participated in student government, serving as class president for four years. She has also been a member of the Student Council for four years, serving a term as secretary. She has been involved in Math Team, the Gifted and Talent Program, and the Eastonia yearbook staff. Ashley has been a member of the Varsity basketball, soccer, and volleyball teams. She has served as captain of the Junior Varsity basketball team. She was also a member of the Varsity Club for four years. Ashley’s academic awards also include the Phi Beta Kappa Award, and the honor roll for four years. Ashley will study chemical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Salutatorian
Alexandra Allen is the daughter of Scott and Rebecca Allen. Alex has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years, serving a term as chapter president. She has been a member of the Key Club, serving as secretary, and has participated in the Student Council for two years. Alex has been a member of the Varsity Club for four years, as well as the band for three years. She also participated in Junior Exhibition, the Senior Play and the One Act Play and was recognized as All Festival Cast. She has been an active member of the Math Team, French Club and she was a member of the Eastonia yearbook staff. She has also participated in the Gifted and Talented Program. Alex’s academic awards include the honor roll for four years, Student of the Month and the Maine Principal’s Award. Alex has been a member of the basketball, soccer and volleyball teams. She has also served as a captain of the basketball and soccer teams. Alex will study marine science at Maine Maritime Academy.
1st Honor Essayist
Kerrigan Arnett is the daughter of Calvin and Peggy Arnett. Kerrigan has been a member of the National Honor Society, serving as northern region president. She has been a member of the Varsity and Key clubs for four years. Kerrigan also participated in Junior Exhibition, the Senior Play and One Act Play. She has been an active member of the Math Team, French Club and she was a member of the Eastonia yearbook staff. She has also been a member of the Envirothon, FFA and the Health and Wellness Team. Kerrigan has been a Varsity cheerleader for three years, serving as captain. Kerrigan was a member of the Varsity soccer team for four years and played volleyball as well. Kerrigan participated in chorus for two years and was selected for All Aroostook both years. She also spent a year in the Jazz Choir. Kerrigan will study business administration and accounting at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

Kelsey Frank is the daughter of Richard and Pamela Frank. Kelsey has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years. She has been a member of the Varsity and Key Club for four years, serving as president of the Key Club for two years. Kelsey also participated in Junior Exhibition, the Senior Play and One Act Play. She has been an active member of the Math Team, French Club, serving as president, and she was a member of the Eastonia yearbook staff. She has also been a member of the Health and Wellness Team. Kelsey has been a proud member of the band and Jazz Choir for four years. She also earned All Aroostook Chorus and Band honors for three years. Kelsey’s academic awards include being on the honor roll four years. Kelsey has been a Varsity cheerleader for four years, serving as captain. She was a member of the Varsity soccer team for four years and played volleyball as well. Kelsey will study nursing at Husson University.
