FRAZIER, Violet D., 97, PRESQUE ISLE, May 29, 2015. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Wed., June 3, at North Main Street Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
PRESQUE ISLE – Violet D. Frazier, 97, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, May 29, 2015, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born May 31, 1917, in Ashland, the daughter of Florent and Phoebe (Caron) Daigle.
She graduated from Presque Isle High School and Maine School of Practical Nursing in Presque Isle. She worked many years as an LPN at A.R. Gould Hospital, and later at the Presque Isle Nursing Home.
Violet enjoyed being with her friends and family, going out to lunch and playing Beano at the mall. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a member of the Presque Isle Senior Citizens, The Mapleton Seniors Club, and a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #2599 of Presque Isle.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice Graham of Presque Isle, and Darlene Murphy of Caribou; 12 grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Vicki Michaud of Mapleton; 19 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; close friends; and neighbors, Patricia Steeves and Dalice Blanchard of Presque Isle.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert “Babe” Frazier in 1958; and a daughter, Gloria Cote in 2006.
Friends may call 10-10:45 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Wed., at North Main Street Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Morency officiating.
