ISLAND FALLS – Clayton E. Webb, 91, died May 24, 2015, in Bangor. He was born Feb. 13, 1924, in Island Falls, the son of Brayley and Annie (Howard) Webb.
He was a graduate of Island Falls High School, a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the King Mitchell VFW Post, a past member of Island Falls Lodge #96 A.F. & A.M., the Island Falls Fire Department and retired from Maine Public Service Co. after 38 years.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Charlene (Getchell) Webb; a daughter, Brenda Willette; a son, Dale Webb, all of Island Falls; grandson, Bruce Willette; great-grandsons, Nicholas and Dylon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Norman “Bud” Webb; and five sisters, Evelyn, Pauline, Arolyn, Edwina and Maxine.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th at the Island Falls Cemetery with the Rev. Ben Greene officiating. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
The family would like to thank Houlton Regional Hospital, Mt. Height’s Nursing Facility, Eastern Maine Medical Center and the Ambulance crew for the care of Clayton.
