Concert highlights music program

Washburn District Schools held their 2015 Spring Concert on the evening of June 4 at the elementary school.
This year’s concert featured performances by the grade 3-4 chorus, grade 5 band, grade 5-7 chorus, grade 6-7 band, grade 8-12 chorus, grade 8-12 band, and the middle school show choir.
The choruses and show choir were led by Washburn’s vocal music director, Teresa Herold, and the bands were led by Washburn’s instrumental music director, Sean Diette. The concert allowed family and community members to see the thriving and talented music programs going on at the Washburn schools.
Birthdays/anniversaries
Those celebrating a birthday between June 10-16 include: Neil Baker Jr., Carol White, Barry Ingraham, Donald Thibodeau, Mildred Bennett, Nan Buckingham, Brenda Clayton, Lendal Mills Jr., Harold Easler, Verdella Fox, Michael Ericson, Ethan Pendexter, Barb Porter and Alan Flanagin.
Those celebrating an anniversary between June 10-16 include: John and Kristie Drost, Bill and Joyce Sewall, Neil and Mary Baker, Charlie and Mora Durost, Bernhard and Deno Aegrter, Rod and Delma Emery, Doug and Vicki Conley, and Blake and Sarah Hatt.
