To the editor:
I want to thank the person or people responsible for stealing my son’s bike from the Caribou High School parking lot on June 1. You ought to feel real proud of yourself for doing this as you took a bike from a disabled kid that really needs it.
You see my son’s legally blind and cannot see a whole lot of things. He was not even angry that you took it; only said that you probably needed it more than him. That is the type of kid he is.
He was unable to lock it up because most locks use a combination lock and he can’t see the little numbers in order to dial the lock open so he does not use one.
That bike was his only means of transportation to get back and forth to functions and events. Unlike you, he will never be able to get his license to drive a car so he will have to depend on cabs, friends or a bike to get back and forth to jobs, school or any function he so chooses.
Just remember karma comes to those that do good and bad and you will get yours back multiplied.
