The Houlton High School girls and boys tennis teams finished their seasons in the quarterfinal round of the Eastern Maine Tournament last Thursday.
The Houlton High School girls (6-7) advanced to the quarterfinal round with a 4-1 win over Calais (8-5). In singles: Haley Donovan (C) def. Tessa Winship 6-0, 6-1; Caleigh Sullivan (H) def. Nicki Scott 6-3, 6-3; Piper Flewelling (H) def. Kayli Doten 6-4, 6-3; doubles: Emma Hines-Becca Mooers (H) def. Eri Yamamoto-Gabriela Diaz 6-0, 6-1; Janelle Levesque-June Choi (H) def. Marisa Mitchell-Julia Edgerly 6-2, 6-0
In last Thursday’s Class C quarterfinals, the girls’ team lost to 9-0 Van Buren, 4-1.

In boy’s action, Houlton (5-8) overpowered Calais (6-7) by a 5-0 score in their preliminary Class C match.

The Shiretowners fell in the Class C quarterfinals to Piscataquis, 3-2. The only boys to pick up wins were Crane and Littleton. No information was provided for the match.
