Boys & Girls Club plans summer events
The Boys & Girls Club of Presque Isle is holding open enrollment for the summer session.
Among the featured programs will be a reading program, which offers young readers a chance to earn up to $60 for reading their favorite books, and a math and science program, designed to keep brains sharp and ready for the next school year.
Besides swimming, skating, hiking, biking, fishing, and healthy living and cooking classes, there will also be field trips to fill summer days. The club does not charge a membership fee to join.
The Boys & Girls Club of Presque Isle was founded in 1995 and is housed under the Aroostook Band of Micmacs as well as the Penobscot Boys & Girls Club. The organization is dedicated to introducing youth programs with a model that aims to achieve academic success, good character, citizenship, and healthy lifestyles for all participating youth.
Currently the club serves 111 members. Visit pi-bgc.org for more information.
