Greater Houlton Christian Academy (GHCA) honored two long-time employees at its recent association meeting and a school dinner. Thomas Zimmerman was recognized for serving the school for 25 years as teacher and most recently also as Assistant Head of School.
School secretary Kelly Little was honored for completing her 15th year at the Academy.
John Bishop, the Head of School, presented Zimmerman and Little with certificates, as well as checks that he described as a “small token of great gratitude” for their years of service to the school’s families.
Bishop said, “GHCA continues to thrive due in part to the sacrificial service of teachers and staff like Mr. Zimmerman and Mrs. Little. Given that our staff’s compensation is significantly less than they could be earning elsewhere, it’s clear that they are here because of their commitment to Christian education and to children. God just continues to bless the Academy with dedicated, professionally competent staff like Mr. Zimmerman and Mrs. Little.”
