LIMESTONE, Maine — The 2015 graduating class of Limestone Community School may be small, but they will most likely accomplish big things.
Dressed in their class colors, 14 graduates took the stage at the LCS auditorium last Friday night. In front of a packed house of friends and loved ones LCS teacher Robert Hancock addressed the graduates and told them that even though they’re moving on from high school they “have many important things yet to learn.”

The evening’s salutatory address by Sirrea Deschenes reminded each graduate that they’re at this point in their lives thanks to the love and support of family and friends.
Valedictorian Kareena Woodworth took a walk down memory lane with her peers and quoted artist Bob Marley, “Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you’re riding through the ruts, don’t complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don’t bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality. Wake up and live!”
Annie Sinclair was the recipient of this year’s Aroostook Aspirations Initiative Gauvin County Scholorship, and Mitchell Scholarship. The Robert J. Poiesz Memorial Scholarship presented by the Crown of Maine Chapter American Society of Military Comptrollers went to Kareena Woodworth.
Graduates of the community school received a total of $45,968 in scholarship funds.
Just before their tassels were turned, Superintendent Susan White made the ceremony official and wished the graduates luck as they move on to the next chapter in their lives.
