Melanson graduates valedictorian
Naomi Corey Melanson, of Fort Fairfield, graduated valedictorian of her class at the 70th Commencement of Kingswood University, held on May 9 in Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada.
Melanson earned a bachelor of arts in Christian school education degree. She achieved the highest GPA of her class and was on the dean’s list all four years of her studies. In addition to pursuing her own studies, she assisted students with class assignments and test preparation by working in the Student Success Center. She also served the student body as president of the Spiritual Life Association.
Melanson completed her student teaching practicum at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Presque Isle. Her husband, Jamin Melanson, is the pastor of the Fort Fairfield Wesleyan Church.
